Hey there! I am Mary Mae. I was born and raised in a small middle-of-nowhere Oregon farm community. For 18 years I complained that rural life was boring, and now I can't stop missing it. That 300 person town is more than where I am from, it's my home.  My family still resides in Eastern Oregon so I visit often and won't be surprised if I settle down amidst those wheat fields someday.

After high school I moved to Portland, OR where I attended Lewis & Clark College. I graduated in 2015 with a degree in Rhetoric & Media Studies. Currently I am exploring career options. Eventually I hope to find a job in sports media or public relations. At LC I was on the debate team which is nowhere near as dorky as it sounds. Promise.

I grew up in a Christian household, but it wasn't until I moved away from home that I found my faith. Since then I have been on a journey to live a life full of Grace. Being a Christian is an experience of constant learning for me. Everyday I better understand myself and come closer to His will. I've been blessed with an amazing Church family at First Presbyterian. The people there have filled my soul with wise words and sincere love.

“My father was very sure about certain matters pertaining to the universe. To him all good things-trout as well as eternal salvation-come by grace and grace comes by art and art does not come easy.”  - Norman Maclean, A River Runs Through It
